Desiccant bags contain dehydrating clay, used to absorb water vapor inside packaging, especially barrier bags. For effective protection, it's necessary to insert inside packages with object to be protected, desiccant and humidity indicator stripbefore vacuum sealing.
Humidity indicator must be visible from outside to check that desiccant is still active and content protected from moisture. Desiccant is measured in "Units" or fractions of Units. One "Unit" corresponds to quantity of desiccant that can absorb minimum 2.85g of water vapor at 25°C and 20% RH.
